My Mom Read This Comic

All Winners #9, 1943

A recent ComicLink web auction featured this great copy of All Winners 9, long one of my favorite comics.  Why?  Because I have a version of it drawn by my Mom when she was a kid.  She did a PERFECT copy of it back when she was 15 years old, prior to her attending NY’s School of Industrial Art (Now SAD) with classmate John Romita.

Cool, huh?

Welcome to BloGGuzzo at Maine Comics

I guess it had to come to this…..a controlled environment where I could rant and rave without the public exposure of Facebook.  A place to be much more political, since we live in political times…but I am sure you have some questions.

Why Maine Comics?

Maine Comics is the comic book fandom component of our Atomic Studios facility here in Boothbay Harbor Maine.

Since rants and raves in our Studio either surround politics or comics, and sometimes BOTH, it just seemed like a good place to put it.  I must remember to put some sort of disclaimer on this puppy, especially considering the climate of censorship that is creeping over this country like some sort of Asian genital rash…the horrid jungle kind….the kind  that never seem to go away.

So excuse us while we get used to using the Wordypress…we design websites from scratch, but just can’t get used to these form based instaWebs.  Fasten your seat belts, too.  It may not get fast, but it is sure to be bumpy.
